by Martin Kampel
Abstract:
The aim of the master thesis is to develop an algorithm for registration of two different views of rotational symmetric objects. The method proposed uses the axis of rotation of the viewed objects to bring multiple range images into alignment. The task of the system is the construction of 3d models of archaeological finds. After a general introduction including the 3d acquisition technique different methods of registration are explained. The structure of the system and its tasks are presented.
